Benefit Magazine, Sophisticate Interiors and San Francisco Firefighters Unite for Toy Drive for Homeless and Displaced Children

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Benefit Magazine, SophiSticate Interiors and San Francisco Firefighters Unite For Toy Drive to benefit Homeless and Displaced Children at Slide on Sunday, December 10, 2006 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

Get hot for Benefit Sundays toy drive to benefit the San Francisco Firefighters’ Toy Program. Continuing a fine tradition, the men and women who battle the blaze reflect compassion and volunteerism with the Firefighters’ Toy Program. All year, retired and active Fire Department members and their families collect and distribute toys to children who otherwise might not experience the joy Barbie can bring. Daily, Santa’s dedicated helpers manage the warehousing of stock, sort donations, maintain vehicles, schedule and prepare donation barrels for pickup and delivery.

“Firefighters serve more than 300 families a day during the holiday season,” commented Editor-in-Chief Tim Gaskin about the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program.  “Additionally, toys are delivered to children in battered women’s shelters, pediatric AIDS wards, and burn centers.”

Children from Rafael House will be on hand to receive donated gifts.
